Overview
PRODUCT DESIGNER · 2.5 WEEKS
I designed a high-fidelity Figma prototype that helps family members start conversations, reflect on tone, and communicate what kind of support they want. The experience turns those choices into a guided flow, from an invitation to a more considered response.

Making space for better conversations
Family conversations can become difficult when tone is misunderstood or expectations for support are left unspoken. Carthasis explores how a guided digital experience can make those choices more visible.
How might we help family members express themselves more clearly while making room for empathy and boundaries?
Exploring ways to connect
Early sketches explored journals, family trees, topic prompts, daily matching, and shared activities as starting points for connection.

Early explorations of reflection, shared activities, and conversation starters.
Shaping the conversation flow
Low-fidelity screens map the journey from matching and choosing a mood to writing a message, checking tone, and selecting response preferences.

The flow brings reflection and response preferences into the conversation before a message is sent.
A more considered exchange
The final interface pairs a warm yellow palette with blue accents, simple navigation, and focused prompts. Tone-checking screens invite reflection; boundary settings let people say whether they want advice, listening, questions, or resources.

Check the tone of a message and choose the kind of response that would be helpful.

Explore tone guidance and confirm a change to the daily match.
